Wir finden einen Übernachtungsplatz am Hafen von Mikros Gialos auf der Südseite von Lefkada, nachdem der dortige Campingplatz zu war, wie wohl fast alle Campingplätze zu sind zu dieser Jahreszeit. Nach dieser Erfahrung machen wir uns nicht mehr die Mühe außer in Athen, offizielle Campingplätze zu suchen.
We find a place for the night by the Mikros Gialos harbour at the southern end of Lefkada. This was after finding the campsite there closed, as probably almost all the camping sites are at this time of the year. After that - apart from Athens - we do not trouble to look for official camping sites.

Zurück auf dem Festland nehmen wir die Straße in Richtung Südosten. Die Straße führt durch das verlassene Dorf Alte Plagia.
Back on the mainland we take the road towards the south-east. The road leads through the abandoned village Alte Plagia.
Wir erreichen die Küste am Ionischen Meer kurz vor Palairos.
We reach the coast on the Ionian Sea not far before Palairos.
Bei heißem Wetter fahren wir die Küste des Ionischen Meeres hinunter. Neben der Straße finden wir einen Platz zum Abkühlen im Wasser mit Blick auf die Inseln Kastos und Kalamos.
In hot weather we drive on down the coast of the Ionian Sea. We find a place to cool off in the water with a view of the islands Kastos and Kalamos.
Neben der Straße steht eine hohe, hübsche Pflanze - wir wissen nicht was sie ist - mit gelb-weißen Blüten. Von der Form her ist die Pflanze wie eine Lupine, aber die Blüten sind ganz anders.
Next to the road stands a tall, pretty plant with yellow and white flowers - we dont know what it is. The shape is like a lupin but the flowers are very different.

Wir erreichen den Golf von Korinth mit Blick auf die Berge des Peloponnes und die Maut-Brücke (li) von Antirrio (auf dieser Seite) nach Rio, ein Vorort von Patras.
We reach the Gulf of Corinth with a view across to the mountains of the Peloponnese. To the left is the Toll-bridge from Antirrio (on this side) to Rio, a suburb of Patras.
Die beeindruckende Rio-Antirrio Brücke heißt offiziell Charilaos Trikoupis Brücke. Sie wurde 2004 fertiggestellt und hat eine Länge von 2883m.
The impressive Rio-Antirrio bridge is officially called the Charilaos Trikoupis Bridge. It was completed in 2004 and is 2883m long.
Wir fahren über die Brücke und kommen jetzt auf dem Peloponnes an.
We drive over the bridge to reach the Peloponnese.
